Welcome to the Hamburg Homeowners Association
The Shetlands Subdivision
Located on the original Hamburg Horse Farm, just minutes from downtown Lexington, Kentucky and near the I-75/I-64 southern corridor, the Hamburg Homeowners Association formally known as the Shetlands Homeowners Association, Inc. filed their Article of Incorporation with the State of Kentucky in 1998 as a non-profit organization. Shetlands is a single family home development located within walking distance in the Hamburg Commercial and Entertainment District where residents have a large selection of dining and shopping options.
The subdivision, Shetlands is a Deed Restricted Development which means there are a number of Restrictions each owner must abide by within each subdivision. These Deed Restrictions run with the Land and were recorded prior to the selling of any lot in the Shetlands. Some of the Restrictions related to the payment of Assessments, types of fences that you can install, prohibition of above ground pools, etc. Generally that ANY change you make to your property must be approved by the board PRIOR to the change being made.
